Our Founder

William Johnstone - Founder

William is an innovator with a long track record leading IT projects. As an endurance athlete and development officer for Conancht Rugby, William knows what it takes to succeed in the world of sport. 

Developing the RugbySmarts platform allows William to combine his passion for rugby, creative media and artificial intelligence (AI) to make rugby coaching a more fulfilling experience.

 

Our Philosophy

"By Coaches for Coaches" is the simple philosophy of RugbySmarts. William has had lifelong involvement in rugby union as a player and coach. 

His passion for rugby and deep understanding of the needs and time constraints of rugby coaches led to the development of this automated, AI-driven software solution. 

The focus and intent of RugbySmarts is to free coaches from time-consuming video analysis allowing them to concentrate on coaching players and teams.

RugbySmarts allows coaches to tag and analyse video footage rapidly and communicate key insights to players and coaches to enhance team performance.
